JAGUAR XJ6 SERIES 3 4.2 AUTO

A REGULAR VISITOR, WE RECENTLY RE-COMMISSIONED THIS CAR

WITH A COMPREHENSIVE SERVICE,  AND A LOT OF ELECTRICAL REPAIR

WORK WHICH RESULTED WHEN WE TOOK OFF THE OLD LPG SYSTEM.

THE FUEL TANKS ARE NOW QUITE CORRODED, AND RUST LADEN FUEL

IS CLOGGING UP FILTERS AND INJECTORS ETC. THE CAR NOW BACK

WITH US TO HAVE A PAIR OF BRAND NEW TANKS - LEFT AND RIGHT.

THE SOLENOID BASED IN-CABIN SWITCHING SYSTEM ALSO UNDERGOING

A REWIRE, TO RETURN TO A SMOOTH LEFT/RIGHT TANK TRANSITION ,

ONCE THE BUTTON PRESSED. THIS IS AN INTERESTING CONCEPT, DATING

BACK TO THE EARLY XJ'S, WHICH HAD A TWIN TANK SYSTEM, IN ORDER

TO SPREAD WEIGHT EVENLY, AND MAXIMISE BOOT SPACE.
